 FAQs

What sizes are available?

Standard 5", 6", 7", 7.6", 8" and 10", but we can make our gutter guards ar custom widths as well. 4", 5.5", 9" are some of the examples.

What gutters do these work with?

Standard K-Style and half round gutters as well as our box gutters.
Most gutters are very similar, although manufactured by different machinery. we have yet to hear of a standard profile gutter that our gutter guards have not worked with, however, it is always a good idea to start off with a sample to make sure it will fit.

What is the difference between a half round gutter guard and a K-Style gutter guard?

The main difference is the width. A K-Style 5" gutter is measured including the front lip, while a half round is not.
A second difference exists for Euro style gutters, where the front lip curls out. For those, the lip featured on our gutter gutter guards is bent straight down rather than out to be able to fit inside the gutter.

How are gutter guards installed?

The front lip hugs the front lip of the gutter, or simply sits on it, depending on the profile. The back gets fasted to a fascia board on fascia mounted profiles while it sits under the roof on the under roof profile.
Zip screws can be used to secure the front lip to the gutter, while screws are used to also fasten the back portion to the fascia board and also under the roof if needed.
A zip screw to the front lip of the gutter may not be needed if the gutter guard is already fastened in the back, and is it not the Euro style, as the front lip will be secured by the front lip of the gutter. This is a call to be made by the installer on site as our recommendation is to fasten in the front and back.

How are miters handled?

Just like gutters. Cut the miter on site, tab and fasten it together. For gutter screens, leave a portion of the screen extra, and fold it under the mitered cut, so no edges are exposed that can capture debris.
