The Express replacement screen (flame spreader) is a steel component that fits into the head chamber of the Express soldering irons. On frequently used irons, eventually, this part will wear until the flame is not being directed toward the copper tip. Use an angled pick to grasp and remove this part and carefully replace in similar fashion.
