Rau Systems 115 Metal Crimping Tool
Simple tool to create metal roof transitions and crimps
The Rau Systems 115 tool is used to crimp metal. Such crimps can be used to create what's called "pig's ears", a
technique of bending metal in a waterproof method with no cuts.
Because of the size, this tool is mostly used on applications with larger
sizes, such as flashings for chimneys and skylights.
On metal roof transitions cuts can be avoided by bending the standing seams correctly with this crimper.
This tool can also be used to create the box part of a panel that sits inside a
J channel or Z channel.
For drip pans, or copper pans, using this tool allows for creating corners without the need of cuts or soldering. Ideal for watertight applications.
Another use
of the Rau 115 is to create crimps on corners of roof for
chimney caps.
This tool is a larger version of the
Rau 116 Large crimping tool.
